Cleaning oil for needles and sinkers in knitting machines
Application Klüber Silvertex R 14
Due to its low viscosity, Klüber Silvertex R 14 penetrates even very tight clearances thus reaching all the areas to be cleaned. Klüber Silvertex R 14 is a high-performance oil cleaning needles, sinkers, needle cams, needle cylinders, dials and sinker rings. It also dissolves residues from cotton or synthetic yarns in the needle slot or cam, which are flushed from the knitting machine by the oil. Klüber Silvertex R 14 may also be applied periodically by hand oiler to the needle boards, cylinders, sinker rings or dials. In the case of severe contamination by cotton or synthetic yarn residues we recommend repeating the cleaning process several times in order to dissolve and flush dirt, yarn preparation auxiliaries and fibre residues. The cleaning effect can be intensified by blowing with compressed air.

The Klüber Summit LCG series was developed for application in screw-type compressors working with natural gases or the reactive and corrosive gases encountered in biogas plants, refineries, EOR processes or the chemical industry. Klüber Summit LCG compressor oils do not contain sulphur or any other elements that might react with chlorine-containing components or acidic gases. They can also be used with gases containing chlorine where mineral oils, esters or polyglycols are not suitable for application. Klüber Summit LCG compressor oils protect surfaces against the corrosive effects of acidic gases such as hydrogen sulphide or carbon dioxide. Klüber Summit SH oils have been designed especially for the lubrication of highly loaded, oil-injected screw-type compressors with oil change intervals up to 10,000 operating hours. Klüber Summit SH oils can also be used for compressors that were previously run with mineral oils. They are neutral towards most elastomer seals used in air compressors, therefore leakage is not to be expected. Klüber Summit SH 32 is especially suitable for centrifugal compressors and Klüber Summit SH 100 for reciprocating piston compressors. Klüber Summit SH oils offer good oxidation stability due to the synthetic base oil, thus minimizing oxidation residues in the compressors and extending oil change intervals and the service life of oil filters and separators. Special inhibitors contained in the oils keep the inside of compressors clean. Owing to the evaporation stability of the base oil, the oil vapour content in the compressed air can be considerably reduced compared to conventional mineral oils. This contributes to a reduction of oil consumption and clean compressed air; gumming of pneumatic valves in the compressed air circuit can be prevented as well due to the low oil content of the Klüber Summit SH oils.

Owing to their low vapour pressures, and depending on the viscosity grade, BARRIERTA Fluids are also suitable for highvacuum applications. Electrical contacts BARRIERTA Fluids offer long-term protection against wear on electrical contacts, especially those with gold surfaces. There are no known decomposition products that would have an insulating effect on the contacts. Chains BARRIERTA I S Fluid is suitable for the lubrication of hightemperature chains and even meets stringent hygiene requirements. BARRIERTA IS Fluid is non-toxic and nonodorous. Plastic-plastic friction points BARRIERTA Fluids are generally regarded as neutral towards elastomers and plastics (possible exception: perfluorinated rubber).
